Welcome to peaceful Reposaari!
The residence offers a unique opportunity for individual cultural actors to work and relax, as well as an inspiring space for working groups all year around.
Residence residents can organize exhibitions in the gallery during the summer season (June-September) or small performances in the hall/larger ones in the Reposaari House or at at the Reposaari Cultural Centre (stone school).
In addition, there is a forest installation site, Repolaakso, which is reserved for sound, light and environmental art. See the gallery page for information.
Artist residency Kissaniitty
Perämiehenkatu 1 is a log house originally built in 1890 right by the sea. The building housed Hanelius' fabric shop until the 1980s, after which the house has remained for residential use. The 250m² house is divided into two parts, the larger of which is for the use of residence guests.
The house includes a large, sheltered courtyard and a yard building with a wooden sauna, accommodation at summertime and gallery space opening in 2026.
The house is half a kilometer from the nearest shop, restaurants and the magnificent rocky beaches of the Bothnian Sea.
The nearest bus stop to Pori is across the road. From the Reelinki pier, you can take a dip in the sea both in summer and in winter time.
Owners
The house is inhabited by nature lovers Timo and Milla Kissaniitty (and Manu the Cat), who moved from Helsinki to the archipelago in 2024.
Timo works as a cleaner and is an avid cyclist in his free time.
Milla is a graphic designer who runs Kissaniitty Ltd.
As extroverts, we get along great with everyone, as long as you come as you are.
